As if gorgeous twin boys, Bertie the pony and a lovely farm location aren’t enough to love, what I also really like about this photo session is how it truly embraces the concept of lifestyle photography.

When I arrived at the farm the boys were busy being boys, running around playing with dumper trucks, bikes and balls. With muddy hands and knees they were oozing energy as they lived their everyday childhood life. Rather than ‘tidying’ them we went ahead with the photo-session just as they were. We included Bertie for some of the shots but also captured the boys alone using  some fabulous backdrops at the stable yard where they play all the time. It was quite a playground for me too and just what lifestyle photography is all about…

At the end of the session the boys resumed their play and I am sure continued with lots more outdoor fun through the rest of the day and Autumn half term. When our weather is good to us you really can’t beat our great British outdoors! I love Autumn and even Winter for lifestyle photography sessions, the muted colours and softer light are fabulous to work with – after a balmy and sometimes very wet Autumn I am now looking forward to some frosty and maybe even snowy winter days  x
